“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” returned for its sixth
season on Monday, September 8th, unveiling its brand new state-of the-art studio on the Warner Bros. Studio lot while being
produced and broadcast for the first time in High Definition (HD). The show returns having just won four Daytime Emmys including
Outstanding Talk Show Host for the fourth year in a row. “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” has now earned an
impressive 25 Daytime Emmy Awards since its inception in 2003.
In addition to going Hi Def, the new studio expanded the show’s studio audience by 50% to allow seating for over
300 audience members. The audience will experience the “Ellen” pre-show lounge on the Studio lot, complete with
flat screen televisions playing highlights from the show and a well-appointed environment designed for fun. This will also
mark the first entertainment talk show to have tapeless technology, allowing for virtually instantaneous editing during live
production.
